» Signage on the Road

Stop! No Left Turn.

These are the usual traffic signs that every person has seen along the road. Basically, a driver is guided in his daily life on the street with a variation of signs and signals. Signage found along the road serves as a reminder to every motorist about the traffic rules implemented by the local authorities. For instance, the no-left-turn signage makes a motorist aware that it not allowed to make a turn to the left direction. If he turns left, he will be penalised for violating the signage. Another common signage that everyone knows very well is the Ped Xing, a shortcut for pedestrian crossing. With this sign posted in their designated places on the road, a driver automatically slows down to give way to the people who would like to cross the street. The Ped Xing sign also implies that the motorist should not be running his vehicle over the required speed in populated places. Indeed, with the help of different road signage, a driver is properly guided and kept safe all throughout his driving routine.

Aside from ensuring the safety of the motorists and the pedestrians, road signage also helps the drivers in terms of navigation. If you have noticed, there are certain points along the road that tells them about the different locations that can be reached through the road they are taking. With these signage, the distance of the destination is constantly updated (as shown in the number of miles or kilometres). This way, a driver who has not mastered the way to certain places can be properly guided. Indeed, signage found on the road provides relevant information to every motorist, aside, of course, from giving them with constant safety-driving reminders.
