Ways to make an attractive banner

It is difficult to design a banner while looking out for ways that will attract the attention of the people. As the main aim of a banner is to get the attention of the viewers and convey the message effectively, the banner must be easy to read and attractive in the way it looks.

Using the right font
It is important to select appropriate font styles to make a good banner. Not more than two kinds of styles should be used as they may render it difficult for the viewer to read the banner. Fonts like Engraved and Old text English should be used only when the reader is in one place. If the reader is moving, fonts that are easy to read must be used.

Perfecting the colour combination
Using colour combinations that complement each other is an advantage when designing a banner. The main message should be highlighted with an eye catching colour as it makes the message stand out. Banners should not have bright backgrounds as it takes the focus away from the message.

Graphics must be suitable
Borders, clip arts and logos can be used to grab the attention of the viewers. However it must not be so prominent as to take the attention of the reader away from the central message. Also, images should be related to the message being given out instead of just a pointless distraction.
